2nd 6 weeks

I am a little late posting our 2nd six weeks update. Here are my letters to the boys for this past six weeks. We are well into the 3rd six weeks right now, I have so much blogging to catch up on! I want to post some of the things we have been doing. I have been pretty good at taking pictures. Not good pictures but still capturing some of our activities in a blur on a camera phone is better than not having them at all. I am sure soon I will have time to go through them and post. Until then here is the recap. :)

Your 2^nd six weeks in kindergarten has been great! We have studied the letters H, S, C, D, G. We have been reading lots!  You love to rhyme words right now. You love to do your workboxes each day. This six weeks we have learned about addition up to 10, and you love practicing by playing math bingo on the iphone and using bean counters. Also covered in math were positioning, ordinals, classifying and sorting, Patterns (you are very good at these) Intro to telling time and parts of the clock, simple problem solving and logic and you are begging me to do subtraction.  We have been learning how to be good stewards of the things God has given us and how to be humble and not blame others for our choices. You really took these lessons seriously and earned lots of stickers! You are really interested in community right now, especially the mail man, fireman and police officers. In science learned about Dinosaurs and you loved making your very own dino dig and field guide. I am amazed at how much you know about dinos!  We talked about the earth and looked at a globe to see what was land and water, you found Texas on the globe all by yourself.  You helped rearrange the school room and love our library. You remind me often to use my library voice in there.   You also learned to ride your bike with NO training wheels! Super exciting.  You now have your orange belt in Tae Kwan Do and you are really good at your moves. You are growing up and I am so proud of you. Keep up the good work!

You make me laugh everyday! You really know your letters and their sounds. This six weeks we talked about the letters H, S, C, D, & G. You love to play the game where we think of all the words we know that start with a certain letter. You are still trying to decide which hand you want to write with. I have a feeling you are going to be left handed but we will see because you really switch back and forth a lot. You loved making our dino dig and field guide. I think you know as much as Drew does about dino’s and I am amazed that you know all their names.  You really listen when Drew is doing math. You are getting really good at counting objects to match the number cards. You are great at sorting objects and you love to play with blocks. You have gotten really good at riding your big boy bike with training wheels. You go VERY fast! You have your orange belt in Tae Kwan Do. I am super proud of you. Keep up the good work Big AX!
